Episode #038: Tunguska’s Geocosmic Lessons
Randall reviews some of the Tunguska witnesses’ extraordinary accounts and shares photos from Leonid Kulik’s team excursions into the blast zone (treks that are worthy of a high-budget movie) as we ponder what forces could have inspired the frightful anecdotes and created the many odd features that remain – some of them reminiscent of Carolina Bays. Finally: Were the Taurids the source for the Tunguska object and the clustered bombardments around the Younger Dryas Boundary?

Episode #036: Asteroid Day Special Edition
There was a last-moment decision to make this episode an extended version of a brief program RC is presenting on Asteroid Day – June 30th.

Episode #035: Wildfires and the Wasteland

Episode #034: Fingerprints of Catastrophe – Wildfires
RC and crew continue to review and discuss the scientific papers that have compiled evidence in support of a major catastrophe at the Younger Dryas Boundary. The Channel Islands off the southern California coast reveal massive fires and floods at that time and a quick shift from forests to grasslands. We puzzle over critics who attribute the transitions to climate change, but don’t consider what forces may be driving that climate change, which prompts Randall to look at the unlikely hypotheses about the repeated filling and draining of Lake Missoula, asking: What conditions allowed that basin to be filled up to the first order stream level? We then get into a 2018 paper authored by many from the Comet Research Group addressing “Extraordinary Biomass-burning Episode and Impact Winter… ~12,800 years ago.”

Episode #033: Footprints of Catastrophe – Glacial Impact at Lac St-Jean?
RC’s background image of massive glacial erratic ‘Okotoks’ spurs discussion of methods for moving megaliths. Then carrying on from Ep032, we look at Lac St-Jean as a potential impact site with the Saguenay River fjord as an outflow channel, linked to evidence from YDB layers at PA and NJ Clovis sites, that contain spherules and osmium traceable to lithologies present in Quebecia. Similar features are present at another proposed impact site at Lake Nipigon, with massive outflow channels to the south, which leads to discussion of the erosion across the Colorado Plateau and thru the Grand Canyon. Switching back to studies from the Channel Islands, the question of ‘where are all the human remains’ opens again the Anzick One mystery…

Again considering the evidence that needs technical enhancements to analyze, we look at the variety of microspherules that have been recovered from 18 sites across four continents, and the graphs that show great abundances of the proxies, many of which have been shaped at over 3000 degrees, peaking right along with the YDB. Tangential discussions address the recurrence of the Phi ratio in measurements of distance and time, the ancient models of temporal change that modern science is now aligning with, the quantifying of “planetary-scale movement of water”, and cratering effects on the YDB depositions.
